Yes, at least the basic functionality of moving the slide forward & backwards. The default input mapping should be correct. If you need to change the mapping for some reason, simply plug in your remote and open the Input Mapper from the System tab. Use the desktop setting for Slide Forward and Slide Backwards. When selected the input will capture your remote button press and create a new mapping.
The laser pointer on your remote will not work in VR. If you do use it, you will be shining the laser in reality, but not in VR, which could be dangerous for anyone in the room. To use the virtual laser pointer in Virtual Orator you will need a tracked input device. Currently only the HTC Vive devices are supported.
